Diatomaceous Earth is a common filler in paints and coating used everywhere, enabling projects to be completed quickly and economically with fine pigments and finishes. Natural diatomaceous earth is used in the manufacturing of Coil Coating paints and thus it remains in amorphous form and does not convert into crystalline silica. Our Nano-Technology Diatomaceous Earth Manufacturing process adds on to these qualities and provides Nano Coating of Diatoms on the Substrate and protects them from corrosion. They induce a tightly combined microlayer of product with a very strong inherent adhesion that is durable and tough, thus helping in protecting any substrate. The contributing factors to add Diatomaceous Earth for coil coating paints are used for Extension of Primary Pigments, Addition of Bulk and Strength and Enhancement of Coating Adhesion and Durability. Filtroseem 7M can replace up to 30% of an expensive synthetic silica grade used in coil coatings without compromising the main performance properties.
